The Federal "Buy America" requirement reads as follows:
"Manufactured goods must be 100 percent produced in the U.S. A manufactured good is considered produced in the United States if: (1) All of the manufacturing processes for the product take place in the United States; and (2) All of the components of the product are of U.S. origin. A component is considered of U.S. origin if it is manufactured in the United States, regardless of the origin of its subcomponents. 49 CFR 661.5(d)."
No, not all products meet the 100% US origin requirement. We actually differentiate between the 100% MiUSA and MiUSA with Global Materials on our website. If you hover over the flag on a product page, it will call out “With Global Materials” if that is the case. If it says just Made in USA then it does comply. That said, if there is a specific bid requirement that the customer has a question about, we would have engineering validate if there was a requirement in order to quote.
